Help Hollywood Food Coalition create a wonderful Thanksgiving for their families! They are collecting food items for their Thanksgiving meal bag give away, and they need your help! Needs: stuffing mix , instant potatoes, cans of gravy, cans of green beans, cans of cream of mushroom soup, butter, pies, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, milk, and more! Bring the Joy of Holidays by Packing Shoeboxes for Youth

Since 1993, Samaritan?۪s Purse Operation Christmas Child has delivered over 150 millions gift-filled shoeboxes to underprivileged children around the world. In light of Covid-19, GLA Shoebox Packing Party will look different this year. They are hosting a month long boutique style and social distancing packing party to achieve the goal of 2020 shoeboxes. The dates are 11/01 to 11/23, Saturday and Sunday only. Time varies. At the same time, you may also sign up to help them at drop off locations in both Highland Park and Glendale from 11/16-11/23. Reservation is a must. Limited participants will allow in the venue at one time and local CDC guidelines will be followed. Age 10 and up are welcome. Students can request volunteer hours if needed. Packing Party will be hosted at a venue in Highland Park in Los Angeles. You will receive location information when they confirm your reservation. They encourage all participants to bring some gift items for the shoeboxes. Suggested items to bring are notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers, crayons, coloring books, bar soaps, toothbrushes, washcloths, flip flops, etc. For any other questions, please email them at occgreaterla@gmail.com. Orange County's Virtual Walk Day is all about celebrating the impact that the IDF community can have on the individuals affected by primary immunodeficiency (PI). The Immune Deficiency Foundation improves the diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life of people affected by primary immunodeficiency through fostering a community empowered by advocacy, education, and research. It doesn't matter where you are located, you can all walk and raise awareness for those who need it most. While you walk in the safety and comfort of your own neighborhood on Saturday, November 14, don't forget to take pictures and post on social media. Assemble Hygiene Kits at Home with Resisterhood LA

ResisterHood LA's 4th annual menstrual FLOWvember period kit party is going virtual! Period products are one of the most requested but least donated items for people experiencing homelessness. For their 4th annual menstrual FLOWvember event, they're raising money to build 2000 hygiene kits with a special focus on period poverty. Join them online on Sunday, November 15th to build hygiene kits, write notes of encouragement for recipients, and hear from speakers about how everyone can can advocate for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.Volunteers will pick-up supplies via no-contact drive-thru and build their hygiene kits at home while participating in their online FLOWvember event!
