Serve Breakfast to the HomelessSince 1972, St. Francis Center has provided relief and support to homeless and extremely low-income individuals and families in Los Angeles. Much more than a soup kitchen or a food pantry, they offer a unique range of services to sustain and empower those in need. Welcoming all with joy, dignity and compassion, they dedicate every day to Serving Hope in their community Event Description: This Breakfast program is part of their Homeless Well-Being Program. Their homeless and near-homeless brothers and sisters are welcome to join them for breakfast Tuesday through Friday at 7:30 am and Mondays from 7:15 - 8:15 AM! They serve between 200 and 300 men and women each day. Help serve a hot breakfast meal in the morning before school or work for their guests experiencing homelessness. Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities: Volunteers will help staff with set-up for serve, and clean-up after breakfast. Breakfast service tasks include serving coffee, working in the kitchen, cleaning tables, resetting tables, and offering a smile. Requirements: Wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing. Time Commitment: Volunteers are needed from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Age Restrictions: They are happy to host volunteers ages 8+ (parent/guardian supervision required for volunteers ages 8-13). Give the Gift of a Thanksgiving Feast in a Bag

Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate family traditions. Because of supporters like you, LA Family Housing (LAFH) is able to provide more than 1,500 people experiencing homelessness with thanksgiving bags. Give the gift of tradition and empower individuals and families experiencing homelessness to host their own Thanksgiving feast. Donate Thanksgiving sides (stuffing, canned goods, mashed potato mix, etc) and a $20 gift card to buy a turkey, a greeting card, and place the items in a reusable bag. Please drop off bags by Monday, Novemberember 18th. For more information on what to include in your Thanksgiving bags or to schedule a drop-off contact donategoods@lafh.org or call (818) 255-2789.

Uplift the Spirits of the Clients of Union Station Homeless Services

For 47 years, Union Station Homeless Services has hosted Dinner in the Park on Thanksgiving Day! This uplifting community event provides thousands of holiday meals and hope for all who attend, including homeless men, women, children, seniors, very low-income families, and those with no place to go during the holidays. The impact of the event in the community is large because of your help! From the turkey to the potatoes and gravy, the majority of food served at this event is donated by generous community members, and every little bit helps! They would gladly accept any donation you are available to provide. This year help provide warmth on a cold night by donating new twin sheets, fleece blankets, and pillows with pillowcases. All donations need to be dropped off by Thursday, Novemberember 25th. Help PATH Prep Thanksgiving Meals

PATH’s mission is to end homelessness for individuals, families, and communities. Support their recently housed neighbors with their first thanksgiving meal in their new home by assembling grocery bags filled with non-perishable food items and a grocery gift card. Your donation of Turkey Boxes will help their clients who are housed feel supported during the holidays. For heartwarming, life-affirming experiences, come join ONEgeneration as a volunteer and start giving back to your community now! They are in need of homebound meal drivers. Delivers a hot meal and a warm greeting to homebound seniors one morning a week. Training is required with a Manager on meal delivering router. Minimum age 21 – Fingerprinting, Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance required.
