Party with Aviva at Their Dia De Los Muertos Party 2023
Join Aviva Family and Children’s Services for an evening of fun while celebrating el Día de los Muertos. Dia de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, is a centuries-old Mexican tradition that beautifully blends indigenous customs with Catholicism. It’s a time when families gather to remember and honor their loved ones who have passed away, believing that their spirits return to celebrate with the living. Attend Parent Trainings for families of students with disabilities. They provide workshops and trainings to families. They are in need of craft donations that are provided to Teachers and Families. These usually include and are not limited to educational items, cups, puzzles, board games, candles, books, stickers, arts, and crafts, etc. They will have additional workshops and trainings in the upcoming year. Each year we get asked to decorate all kinds of places – vets’ homes, clinics, shelters, group residences – in all kinds of ways for all the year-end holidays. Sometimes the residents join in, too! Each year we collect and pack big bags full of Thanksgiving dinner for thousands of people! We need folks to donate food, as well as pack everythingup and distribute it. And yes, everyone is invited to join together for a community breakfast, too! A true festival of gratitude. We also need folks to lead food collections in their community!
