Chaperone a Field Trip with Door of Hope
Throughout the year, Door of Hope's Kids Program offers exciting field trips to various locations. Activities include cooling off at a pool, enjoying movies at the theater, and marveling at the sea creatures at the aquarium. To volunteer as a chaperone, you must be at least 18 years old, complete a free Live Scan background check, and fill out the Application.

Make a lasting impact by mentoring a Door of Hope teenager. You’ll be matched with a youth based on shared career ambitions and personal interests, fostering a meaningful connection that can shape their future. You will have an introductory meeting at one of their shelters facilitated by their Youth Coordinator to ensure a compatible match. The mentorship duration is a minimum of three hours a month for four months with the option to continue. They are encouraging the community to get involved in celebrating this holiday season with those at PATH residences who may need an extra support and encouragement during this especially trying time. By hosting a holiday celebration, you have the opportunity to: Sponsor a meal/snack to provide for community celebration,Bring cookies and decorate them in holiday-inspired themes (approx. $250-$275), Bring Holiday decorations and decorate common room of PATH building, Host a holiday movie night and bring popcorn and treats for guests, Bring group games (Bingo, card games, trivia, etc.) to play with residents, Organize a raffle-prize giveaway.
