Help with Holiday Meals with Volunteer Actions for Aging

Put the Give In Thanksgiving with Volunteer Actions for Aging. They are looking for kind and caring volunteers for a variety of tasks on Thanksgiving morning. They need drivers to come to their SCAN Headquarters in Long Beach, pick up meals and delivery instructions for seniors who have requested meals and then deliver them to the seniors in their house or apartments in many cities in Los Angeles County. You pick the distance and the number of meals you would like to deliver. They ask for a minimum of 10 miles and 3 locations as they serve seniors spread out over the County. The time commitment is small, approximately 2 hours between 10am-noon. Many volunteers load up their family members, kids, friends and pets in the car to make the deliveries. They are also in need of standby volunteers to fill in for delivery folks who cant make it at the last minute. In addition they need volunteers at their HQ to help with the meal packing, distribution and paperwork. To join them on that day, please sign up soon.
