Deliver Meals to Grateful People on Thanksgiving with Project Angel Food
Project Angel Food is looking for volunteers to assist in delivering much needed meals to Project Angel Food’s clients on Thanksgiving Day. Your help will provide their team of staff drivers some relief from their daily deliveries. During this period of COVID-19 pandemic, they have added precautions to their program, for the safety of their clients, volunteers and staff. Please review the following guidelines to ensure that you are willing and able to join their meal delivery team: Review and sign their Liability Waiver form (if not already on file). Review their Confidentiality and Privacy Laws Fact Sheet (attached) and return with your signature or bring it with you when you pick up your meals. Provide a photo or copy of your driver’s license and proof of insurance. Deliver to 5 -7 clients. You will need to provide your own vehicle. Pick up client meals at Project Angel Food. Pick-up time will be staggered between 9am-12pm and they will provide your time when you get closer to the date. If you have a preference, let them know. Since there will be more volunteers delivering than usual, there may be a wait time for pick-ups so plan on 4 hours from start to finish. Routes will be determined based on Dispatch/Staff Driver needs and your location preferences/limitations and availability. Let them know what area you would like to end up. They can try to send you in that direction. All volunteers must provide proof of vaccination, including booster. Booster is required based on eligibility (6-8 months after last vaccination; 3 months after positive test result). Proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours can replace proof of the booster. Masks must be worn in the building. The masks must be KN/N-95 or surgical disposables. This is also a requirement for delivering meals and special event volunteering. If you are still interested or have any questions, please let them know. Please email: holly@angelfood.org
