Participate in The Midnight Mission’s Annual Turkey Trot LA

Run to provide a meal to the thousands who are hungry! In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Turkey Trot Los Angeles benefits The Midnight Mission and supports their efforts to provide a path to self-sufficiency to those experiencing homelessness. Angelenos who are not runners, but who love to fundraise and promote can still participate at this event by creating teams. These teams will contact their network to help raise money for The Midnight Mission. Find out more here: https://www.midnightmission.org/turkey-trot/ or contact hkurokawa@midnightmission.org.

Attend the Fall Art Crawl at the Exceptional Children’s Foundation

ECF was founded in 1946 by a group of parents and community activists who sought to establish a day training program as an alternative to institutional care for individuals with developmental disabilities. Over the years, ECF’s services expanded to meet the changing needs of its target population, successfully developing and implementing early intervention programs for infants and toddlers, as well as residential, work and day programs for adults. Support this programming by attending the Art Crawl where you can purchase art from some of the residents! For more information, please go to: https://www.ecf.net/artcrawl/

Collect Basic Table & Cookware for Community Kitchen Kits!

Community Kitchen Kits builds and delivers complete kitchen kits for people moving into permanent housing after experiencing housing insecurity.
Their goal is threefold:
1. To offer assistance to those in our community facing challenging times.
2. To keep unused, yet useful items out of our landfill.
3. To connect with members of our greater community around a common goal.
They are providing all basic table and cookware so folks can make and serve a meal on day one of being housed.  They partner with several organizations that help people moving from bridge housing to permanent housing in Los Angeles.
Community Kitchen Kits is an all volunteer program started in August 2021.  In our first year we delivered over 500 kits to newly housed individuals and families in Los Angeles.
They need your help this holiday season collecting basic table and cookware! All items can be found here: https://www.communitykitchenkits.org/kitchenitems
