Gift Toys to Patients at Harbor UCLA Pediatrics for the Holidays

The Department of Pediatrics at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center likes to provide their pediatric patients with free gifts during the holidays, as they are a county hospital that primarily serves low-income families. They are looking for toy donations (such as generic coloring books, Crayola markers and colored pencils, Play-Doh, medical/doctor play kits, baby rattles, baby mirrors, infant toys (0-2 years old), musical toys (cause and effect), pop-up toys (cause and effect), bubbles, superhero action figures, barbie dolls, hard-body baby dolls (please no plush/soft-body dolls), dinosaurs, legos, craft and bead kits, educational/science kits,. tabletop games –UNO cards, connect four, etc., earbuds and headphones for older patients). Volunteer for Childcare during Union Rescue Mission’s Hope For The Holidays Event

Angeles House will host a special holiday service / event for those currently sheltered within the facility. Their hope is to give parents a distraction free environment. Will you be the extra hands that they need to give Mom & Dad a little break? They need help with childcare during this event. Volunteer for Monday Night Childcare with Union Rescue Mission

Hope Gardens has a huge need for childcare volunteers. Friday mornings they will start a fitness class as part of the programming they offer for moms. They are in need of a few volunteers to watch the kids so that mom can enjoy a distraction free workout environment. Volunteers will need to pass a $20 to $25 background check.
