CicLAvia is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that catalyzes vibrant public spaces, active transportation, and good health through car-free streets. CicLAvia engages with people to transform our relationship with our communities and with each other. Join us for our 53rd Los Angeles Open Streets Event: CicLAviaÑSouth LA (Western Ave)! CicLAvia creates free, family-friendly events that transform streets into safe spaces for the community to enjoy by foot, bike, and other forms of people- powered transport. Volunteers help create a fun and safe environment for participants! Hub Volunteers assist with activities at the hubs. These activities include: Providing information to CicLAvia participants; Asking participants to dismount, slow down, or follow other traffic instructions related to hubs; Assisting Hub Staff with hub setup, breakdown, and maintenance; Enrolling participants in our newsletter and conducting LA Metro's Open Streets survey. Volunteers 14+ are welcomed.

Each year people from all walks of life join us to eat, sing (with a live band!) and enjoy the holidays. As always, our guests of honor are the incredible kids from Ability First. We're also hosting other friends with struggles large and small. Volunteers are needed to spread some holiday cheer to our invited guests. There will be singing (good singing not necessary)(trust us)(and no, you don't have to sing if you don't want to). We'll deck the halls and light a menorah, too!

West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation (WHCHC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affordable housing development corporation founded in 1986. With the stability of housing, we transform the lives of low-income individuals and families. Today, WHCHC continues to serve West Hollywood and has expanded into Los Angeles and neighboring areas. This event is held for families on a yearly basis to provide dinner and toy gifts to every child in our building. Volunteers are needed to help wrap gifts for the kids. We are looking to provide them with at least a toy for their children. We are in need of toy donations for: Ages 0-17 years of age:

Volunteers will provide support at the Covina Thrift Store by sorting through donations, cleaning & organizing the facility, and other various tasks delegated by the Thrift Store Manager. Volunteers are needed between 11am to 5pm. Partial shifts are welcome. Please check in with management upon arrival and inform them what time you will be leaving. Age requirement: 18 years old and over.

YOUR IMPACT: For many adults experiencing homelessness, the holiday season can feel isolating. Additionally, the cost of a Christmas meal is often out of reach for our participants. By providing a full holiday meal and organizing a fun, community-focused activity, you're helping spread joy and create lasting memories for individuals in need.

We'd love to have you join us for our Accessible Wednesday morning program, AW@10! Previously held biweekly as "2W@10," these special events are held from 10:00am Ð 11:30am each Wednesday where we do fun activities to help local nonprofits. And what's extra special about these Wednesday events? Our guests of honor are wonderful and fun volunteers with some developmental challenges who want to give back and help others, in groups and as individuals. The accessible activities we'll do on Wednesdays are specifically designed with these guests in mind, so that everyone can participate and have fun volunteering - because we believe very strongly that absolutely everyone has something to give. Help sort, prep, and distribute produce to community members at St. James Park (23 St. James Park, 90007). Volunteers should arrive around 11:50 am to assist with culling, sorting, and organizing the produce. This role supports efficient and equitable distribution to ensure each recipient receives quality produce

After sorting, volunteers can help transport prepared produce to community fridges. Plan to swing by St. James Park between 1:00 and 1:30 pm to load up your vehicle with produce, meals, and water. Volunteers will deliver these items directly to the community fridge assigned during sign-up.

Since 1973, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has worked to mobilize resources in the community to alleviate hunger. We will be assembling food packages for over 29,000 families, older adults, and children who face food insecurity in Los Angeles County. (The food packages consist of food items like canned fruit, canned vegetables, rice, cereal and other non-perishable food items.) Please refer to volunteer guidelines and dress code on sign-up. Volunteers must be 18+ to participate.

Assist with sustainability efforts by collecting compost from the park and delivering it to LA Compost at the LA River Farmers Market or disposing of it in green bins. Plan to arrive at 1:30 pm to pick up the compost (up to 50 lbs) and help reduce waste while giving back to the community.
