Walk Dogs with The Little Red Dog, Inc.

The Little Red Dog is a non profit dog rescue and they need volunteers to walk dogs. Walks are typically 20-30 minutes. They have dogs boarded in several locations and some with fosters who need help during the day. They need people who can walk in the morning, during the day and evening, and during the week and on weekends. They provide training. Lend Your Photography Skills at the 2019 LA Walk to Defeat ALS

The ALS Association Golden West Chapter is looking for volunteer photographers who can capture all the fun moments at their Los Angeles County Walk to Defeat ALS. Volunteer photographers will be taking pictures of participants throughout the day and along the one mile Walk route surrounding Exposition Park. Volunteers must have their own camera, and will need to send the photos via DropBox/Google Drive after the event. Participants will be on site from approximately 9 AM to 1 pm. Responsibilities include answering questions from visitors (mostly about where the bathroom is and where the trail goes), selling items from the gift shop, answering phone calls and showing visitors around the nature center One-on-one training is provided. Additional opportunities, including leading natue walks, are available for volunteers who complete Docent Training (requires successful completion of the 10 week Docent Training Class, typically offered in the spring). Volunteer shifts are either 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Sundays or 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Some weekday shifts may be available. Volunteers must be at least 18 and commit to a minimum of 4 hours/month.
