Assist Food Finders in their Holiday Food Drive

This year marks 29 years of Food Finders Holiday Food Drive, a community-wide effort that results in thousands of meals for those in-need during the holiday season. The drive kicks off October 1st and takes place throughout Long Beach, Los Angeles and Orange counties, continuing through December 31st. Food Finders engages neighborhoods, schools, libraries and businesses as drop-off locations for non-perishable food items and will supply collection bins to those interested in participating. The more participation community-wide, the more successful the Holiday Food Drive will be for families, individuals and children who receive the meal boxes via pantries and shelters that partner with Food Finders. In addition to collecting holiday meal staples, such as canned vegetables, stuffing, gravy, pie filling, etc., canned meats, pasta, pasta sauce, cookies and more, Food Finders will also be accepting pet food to help out pet owners and their four-legged friends. For the list of all items needed, click here: http://www.foodfinders.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Food-Finders-The-Gift-of-Food-2018.pdf.

Donate to Support Divine Mercy Orphanage – The Children at the Border’s Angels to Angels Program

In a world of vitriol and division, live scores of orphaned children in the border region of Tecate. The boys and girls of Divine Mercy Orphanage are professionally cared for by the love and dedication of the Daughters of Divine Mercy and the staff and volunteers. Love is abundant but so is uncertainty, fear and the anxiety of our times. The children could use a lift over the holidays with donations of school supplies, clothing and of course, toys. The staff could use household supplies and hygiene products, as well as funding to complete necessary facility requirements and repairs. You can donate items at the campus of Immaculate Conception School. Also, direct support of funds can be contributed to the McKenna Foundation, Attn: Angels to Angels Project, PO Box 4022, Whittier, CA 90607. Please spread the word, and the love!
