Help Setup, Facilitate and Breakdown A Place Called Home’s Family to Family Event

Volunteers will support all aspects of event setup, facilitation (including running craft/activity stations, serving as ushers, loading/unloading gifts, and more) and breakdown alongside the A Place Called Home team to help create a meaningful, festive environment as APCH welcomes member families to their campus for an event that provides direct assistance and holiday fun. Please Note: Role may include moving, bending, walking, light-medium lifting and extended periods of standing. Please let the APCH team know if there is anything they can do to make this project more comfortable for you.

Take Photographs for A Place Called Home’s Family to Family Event

Volunteer will serve as event photographer to capture photos in shot list provided by A Place Called Home. Volunteer will provide 6-8 edited select shots to APCH within 48 hours after the event, and will provide full take edited shots to APCH within 5 business days after the event. APCH will credit photography as desired in publications.

Go Wild at Helen Woodward Animal Center’s Wild Winter Event!

Volunteer at Helen Woodward Animal Center's Wild Winter event! This family-friendly event includes fun for all ages including face painting, visits with Santa, crafts, an obstacle course and more! Volunteers will help with general event assistance including assisting with crafts, face painting, monitoring the obstacle course, assisting Santa, handing out cookies and hot chocolate and other duties as assigned. Experience with children is required and the ability to work outside for extended periods of time. Must be 16+ years of age.

Help United Friends of the Children in putting together their Annual Holiday Party for foster youth and families in their Housing program.Volunteers will be assisting with check in, games, raffle support and craft tables! Must be 18 years or older to volunteer.

Relax and Make Art at Big Sunday’s Sun Days on Tuesdays

Come decorate Mosaic Suns with us! For the past few months, people enjoyed joining us to make beautiful, cheerful and unique mosaic suns to brighten up nonprofits around town. These cool projects are the brainchild of our old friend Cathy Weiss and will be led by Cathy and our own Big Sunday staff, Josh. We can use your help! You don’t need to be artistic – just sincere.
