After more than a year spent apart due to the pandemic, Child Care Resource Center is bringing the community together for the holidays. This year, you can directly support a family through their ‘adopt a family’ project. “When you adopt a family through our holiday book and toy drive, you’re saying “I care about you” and that means a lot to families who have really struggled this past year,” says CCRC President & CEO Dr. Michael Olenick. “Your donations will help us put a smile on a child’s face this season. For the past six years ELAWC has hosted the national touring film festival, LUNAFEST. Attending this film festival will help raise crucial funds for all of the services the ELAWC provides. ECF was founded in 1946 by a group of parents and community activists who sought to establish a day training program as an alternative to institutional care for individuals with developmental disabilities. Over the years, ECF’s services expanded to meet the changing needs of its target population, successfully developing and implementing early intervention programs for infants and toddlers, as well as residential, work and day programs for adults.
