Support LAFH staff with Homeless Connect Day Shift 2

Volunteers will support LAFH staff with one of the following tasks: greeting attendees and guiding them through the various vendors and stations that are available at the event, handing out in-kind supplies from the LAFH table, this could include various items like backpacks, hygiene items, PPE gear, clothing, etc., setting up and/or breaking down the event tables and tents, and engaging with attendees while they wait in line for services, any other small tasks needed by staff (e.g. as a runner). Upon arrival, you will check in with an LAFH staff member who will give you your assignment for the day. Provide quality service by handing out essentials like socks, clothes, hygienic products, and food to those who may not otherwise have access to them. You can also help to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where people can gather and connect.

Prepare and Serve Dinner Meals with Union Rescue Mission

Help prepare and serve dinner at Union Rescue Missions kitchen! At this time they are serving our guests indoors and their unsheltered guests are receiving grab and go meals. They cannot do it - without YOU! The age requirement to volunteer in the kitchen is 14 years old. Volunteers under the age of 18 are required to have an adult chaperone with them at all times. The adult chaperone also must register.
