The Fair Oaks Team is made up of the Manufacturing Program and the Administrative Departments. AbilityFirst Manufacturing Program provides meaningful job training and employment for adults who have disabilities. In addition to offering a range of manufacturing services for business (ranging from assembly to powder coating) the program produces hole punches for sale to departments of the federal government. The program is based in Pasadena. The AbilityFirst Admin. Office team includes the agency’s administrative departments that support all their programs and activities: Accounting/Finance, Communications, Executive and Operating Offices, Development, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Safety. Attend the Fall Art Crawl at the Exceptional Children’s Foundation

ECF was founded in 1946 by a group of parents and community activists who sought to establish a day training program as an alternative to institutional care for individuals with developmental disabilities. Over the years, ECF’s services expanded to meet the changing needs of its target population, successfully developing and implementing early intervention programs for infants and toddlers, as well as residential, work and day programs for adults. Make Jingle Bags with PATH! Jingle Bags can be assembled at home in reusable tote bags, drawstring backpacks, or holiday gift bags. PATH encourages you to also include a handwritten card of support and holiday cheer. To be mindful of the diversity of clients that they serve, they ask that all cards and holiday messages be generalized to all winter holidays. Deliver food for North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry

The Transportation Team transports the loaded grocery bags from the packing site at Temple Beth Hillel to the food distribution site at First Christian Church. Transportation Teams pickup Fridays at 4:00pm. The entire process of transporting 150 to 200 pre-packed bags takes about one hour. Bags are transported in Pantry owned vehicles. Give Back to the Community and Volunteer with Praises of Zion M.B.C

Praises of Zion M.B.C is committed to giving back to the community. Despite the struggle of the COVID Pandemic, they assisted over 200-250 people with food boxes and non-perishable items. This year they know the need is much greater. Which is why their goal has doubled to aid the great 700 or better! They will be providing all essential donations in a box. The boxes will be distributed via a pick up or drive up and go areas. They attached a list of essential donations that are needed. Please volunteer to help if you can! ALL volunteers must wear masks and adhere to CDC guidelines. They are requesting volunteers for set up, distribution and break down. If you can help with all or just one please contact them so they can prepare accordingly. There will be some parking available including street parking. Please wear black pants and either a volunteer shirt or black shirt. All donations must be either wrapped or closed. They are unable to take clothing at this time. They are able to accept the following: Bottle Water, Masks, Hand Sanitizers, Canned goods, Non perishable food items, Hand wipes, Gloves, Boxes (to put donations in). Blankets (ONLY FACTORY SEALED), Lotion, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, shampoo, soap, other hygiene items, Bags, Back to School Supplies Notebooks & Pen (ONLY FACTORY SEALED) If you would like to send a monetary donation please contact them directly.
