Bring Holiday Joy to Veterans and their Families at U.S.VETS (Inglewood)

Every year U.S.VETS (Inglewood) hosts a festive holiday celebration for veterans and their families to come together. They are seeking donations of new toys and gifts for kids of all ages ranging from 5 to 17 years old. As many of their veterans are in recovery and working on themselves, they would otherwise be unable to provide their families with gifts. Therefore, your donations will directly support a veteran family in helping provide festive cheer and solace to veterans. Gifts can be pre-wrapped but they ask you write the item and intended age group on a sticky note for them to reference. They will be collecting toys and small gifts starting December 1st to December 17th. The drop off location will be at U.S.VETS — Inglewood located at 740 Isis Ave. Inglewood, CA 90301. Brings Holiday Cheer and Gifts for Karsh Family Social Service Center

Starting December 1st, the Karsh Family Social Center is collecting toys for its annual Holiday Toy Distribution! Their goal is to provide 500 children in the Koreatown community, ages 0-12, with holiday toys this year, and they need your help. They are collecting in-kind donations of new toys, and financial donations to support the Karsh Center’s programs.. If you would like to donate or get more information, please contact Madeleine Dile, madeleine@karshcenter.org. Only new toys will be accepted. Due to our Health and Safety policies, they cannot accept used toys.

Come Sing-a-long with Big Sunday for the Holidays!

Join us for Our Annual Holiday Singalong plus Our New Community Market! Each year people from all walks of life join us to eat, sing (with a live band!) and enjoy the holidays. Special guests have included low-income seniors, kids with challenges, women, and children from a domestic violence shelter, vets, and others who needed a little extra TLC at the holidays. We’ll collect toys and food for hungry families, too. On Sunday December 12th we will once again be hosting our Big Sunday Singalong and Holiday Party, featuring the World Famous (!?) Big Sunday Band. As always, our Guests of Honor will be the awesome kids from Ability First. This year, we’re excited to also hosting a special Holiday Market with local vendors for your year-end shopping! This year’s party will be outside in our parking lot. Help Celebrate Christmas with Act’s of Compassion

Act's of Compassion focuses on making the maximum positive effort for the community by providing weekly meals for then Homeless. Please volunteer to help their In-person Christmas party for at-risk kids in underserved communities. Volunteer Details: Their is no event parking, must park on the street. All volunteers must wear mask, due to the pandemic. Donations are needed for the homeless community and at-risk youth in underserved communities.
