Serve Community Meals with Hollywood Food Coalition

Volunteer at the Hollywood Food Coalition to help prep community meals! Tasks include: chopping vegetables, fruits, and other foods, repairing casseroles & soups, lifting and moving items, wrapping and packaging food items, helping clean, including wiping down surfaces, washing pots & pans, and sweeping floors. Help Sort and Prep Food Items for Lucky Duck Foundation

The Lucky Duck Foundation's Food and Water Initiative has distributed more than 800,000 meals to San Diego’s unsheltered neighbors since May 2020. Volunteers help by sorting boxes of food and water for homeless outreach teams to distribute to more than 1,000 individuals living on the streets. Volunteers also sort and distribute items like face shields, masks, hygiene kits, EMPWR Coats, and clothing. On rare instances, volunteers will be asked to pack the meals in an assembly line. Volunteers are necessary to keep the program running, so please consider signing up! Volunteer events take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30-8:45 a.m. at our distribution sites in Chula Vista (465 C Street, Chula Vista, CA) and Miramar (6225 Marindustry Drive, San Diego, CA).
