Previously held biweekly as "2W@10," these special events are held from 10:00am – 11:30am each Wednesday where we do fun activities to help local nonprofits. And what’s extra special about these Wednesday events? Our guests of honor are wonderful and fun volunteers with some developmental challenges who want to give back and help others, in groups and as individuals. The accessible activities we'll do on Wednesdays are specifically designed with these guests in mind, so that everyone can participate and have fun volunteering - because we believe very strongly that absolutely everyone has something to give. At TM@10 we’ve assembled birthday gifts for folks in shelters; written letters to soldiers stationed overseas; packed backpacks for ex-gang members starting college; made quilts for preemies; and about 1000 other things. Even better – and in classic Big Sunday fashion – it’s a great way for people to meet new people, work together, and enjoy some laughs while helping someone else. Alexandria House is looking for 'Delivery Elves' to deliver gifts to their families during the holidays! Volunteers can pick up the gifts from Alexandria House (including driving directions) and deliver to their families. Various dates and times available to fit your schedule. Volunteer and Donate to Act’s of Compassion’s Annual Christmas Party
During this festive occasion, Act's of Compassion will aim to create a magical atmosphere filled with laughter, fun activities, and surprise for children. Each child will receive a carefully selected gift tailored to their age and interest. A scrumptious Christmas feast will be served. There will be face painting, horse rides, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Your donations will be greatly appreciated and will be distributed to those in need during event. Together, you can make a positive impact and bring hope to their underserved community. This organization is so appreciative to have people come together this Christmas to make a difference in the lives underprivileged children and their families. Your support and participation will help create cherished memories and spread the true spirit of the holiday season. Money raised will be used to purchase food clothing ,and toys. Each year we collect and pack big bags full of Thanksgiving dinner for thousands of people! We need folks to donate food, as well as pack everythingup and distribute it. And yes, everyone is invited to join together for a community breakfast, too! A true festival of gratitude. We also need folks to lead food collections in their community!
