Hop in and Care for Rescued Bunnies #43

Rabbit Rescue is a non-profit no-kill rabbit shelter staffed and run entirely by volunteers. Their goals include the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of abandoned rabbits, as well as public education regarding proper rabbit care and the importance of spay/neuter in battling the escalating overpopulation problem. Volunteers will care for their rescue bunnies by feeding, watering, and exercising them, as well as cleaning their pens, bagging hay, and more. Please dress casually in clothing you won't mind getting dirty since you will be helping take bunnies out for playtime, clean their cages/pens, and bag hay, vegetables and feed. Volunteers must be ages 18 and older. All volunteers must bring a completed volunteer waiver form that you can find at rabbitrescue.com or fill one onsite at their adoption center. Help Out as a Dog Adoption Counselor/Event Volunteer with LHASA Happy Homes Rescue

Lhasa Happy Homes Rescue is a non profit organization that specializes in rescuing Lhasa Apso, Shih Tzu, Maltese and other small breed dogs. They are looking for people who would like to volunteer at their adoption events, held every Sunday in front of Rover Kennels in Santa Monica. They need Adoption Counselors, who talk to and screen potential adopters, as well as general volunteers who can come to adoptions, help them set up, tear down, walk and play with the dogs during the day 11am-2:30pm. You do not need prior experience, although dog experience is helpful! They will teach you what you need to know! Volunteers must be at least 18. Assist in a Weekly Farmers Market with ONEgeneration

Support the farmers and staff at the market. Positions include assisting with sales, greeting at the front gate, helping with children’s activities and assisting small business. Sunday morning from 7:00am – 1:00 pm. Minimum age 14 with adult present. This event is a walk in position so you can come any Sunday that you are available from 7am to 1pm, no partial shifts. When volunteers sign out at 1pm they will receive a completion letter for their hours if needed. If you have questions about this weekly volunteer event please email volunteer@onegeneration.org they hope to see you soon at the Encino Farmers Market! 100% of the proceeds from all ONEgeneration booths and entrance gates support the programs they offer the community.
