In a world of vitriol and division, live scores of orphaned children in the border region of Tecate. The boys and girls of Divine Mercy Orphanage are professionally cared for by the love and dedication of the Daughters of Divine Mercy and the staff and volunteers. Love is abundant but so is uncertainty, fear and the anxiety of our times. The children could use a lift over the holidays with donations of school supplies, clothing and of course, toys. The staff could use household supplies and hygiene products, as well as funding to complete necessary facility requirements and repairs. You can donate items at the campus of Immaculate Conception School. Also, direct support of funds can be contributed to the McKenna Foundation, Attn: Angels to Angels Project, PO Box 4022, Whittier, CA 90607. Please spread the word, and the love!

The holidays can be an extra hard time of year when you're a disconnected youth in San Francisco. The season's focus on family time and gift-giving can be very isolating for their clients who might be separated from family or might not have the resources they need to show their appreciation for loved ones. Every year, ATC throws a holiday party for their clients. It is a tradition that their clients and staff look forward to and a very special time to celebrate the amazing youth they work with. They are also looking for folks to help bake soft goods for their holiday party. Items must be individually wrapped, meaning no open platters of goods but rather items are in ziplock bags or saran wrapped. They ask that folks drop off the baked goods by 12/12 at 3pm. Please email volunteer@atthecrossroads.org if you are interested in baking! Please help us raise $20,000 to bring the holidays to over 500 clients and their families. Your support will go a long way towards making the holidays special for their clients:

Kids in Need of Defense is a non-profit organization that provides refugee youth an attorney to fight their immigration case in court. Their mission is to provide protection for unaccompanied children who enter the U.S. immigration system alone and ensure that no child appears in immigration without representation. Many of the clients they work with come from low income households who struggle to make ends meet. During the holidays these struggles become even more unbearable, that is why during this holiday season they, with your help, would like to spread some holiday cheer by providing gifts for their clients.
