Help at a Holiday Extravaganza for Homeless Kids

Nu Skool Sings Old School will proudly present their Annual Holiday Extravaganza. For the past 14 years, they have hosted the Holiday Extravaganza for the inner-city kids that they serve all year around. Mini Concert by Nu Skool Sings Old School Star Performers & Kids Holiday Fashion Show, Celebrity Guests Presentations, Dancing, Games, Fun Raffles, Refreshments, Photo Shoots and Much More. And of course, Their Famous Toy & Gift Giveaway Party! They serve children living on the streets, in hotels or temporary housing. They also serve the children of former foster girls, children living with low income grandparents or other relatives and families in crisis. Now they are preparing to serve 100 kids this year. Most of their children must be bussed in from different areas throughout the city. Nu Skool Sings Old School Star Performers will distribute toys and gifts to the invited inner city children and also pose for picture with them on the Red Carpet. They have also invited some Celebrity Guests to come out and help them make this holiday season a memorable experience for some amazing kids! Nu Skool need toys and gifts for young children ages 3 to 13 years old. They also need fun gifts for teenagers ages 14 to 16 years old. They would deeply appreciate any warm clothing items, such as: blankets, sleeping bags, jackets, coats or sock for their homeless kids who often live on the streets.

Alexandria House Free Shopping Holiday Party welcomes their past and current resident families to celebrate the holidays with them. Everyone gets a visit with Ms. Claus, a chance to pick out presents, make crafts, and have a good time! They are looking for volunteers to help welcome the families, run craft and game tables, organize and supervise activities, and have fun celebrating the holidays season! Alexandria House is having a toy drive for their holiday parties where they give out gifts to more than 800 (!) kids over two days. They're asking that the toys do not promote war/violence and that they are ethnically diverse as to accurately represent the populations at Alexandria House. They also often have a shortage of gifts for their teens; the easiest way to help with that is gift cards! Please drop your donations off at 436 S. Alexandria Ave. (yellow house) from Nov 26 to Dec 15. They couldn't do this without your support, thank you! Lend a Hand with Connections For Children at their Holiday Angels Program

Help parents select toys and books for their children and wrap them as gifts. Each year Connections For Children collects holiday gifts for the children of low-income families in our community to help make their holiday wishes come true. Last year, they collected gifts for 1,000 children up to age 18 whose families live below or near to the poverty level and are enrolled in their child care subsidy programs. Local businesses can participate by hosting donation drives for our Holiday Angels Program. In turn, they make sure that these gifts are distributed to children in our community. On December 15th, 17th and 18th, families will be able to select gifts at our Santa Monica office. Enjoy a Holiday Celebration for the students of a great new charter school, Crete Academy. Crete has grades TK-6 and 126 students. For their holiday party, they'll enjoy food and a special surprise visit from Santa. There will be the Crete Dancer's Performance and the TK-K Musical with Bells. Assist the Coliseum Street Elementary School with their Need of Toys for the Holidays

The Los Angeles Unified School District's Attendance Improvement Program seeks donations throughout the year to provide gifts to underprivileged children at their school during the holiday season. For the last few years, The Los Angeles Fire Department has assisted them by providing toys and gifts for the students, but there is never enough to fulfill their need. They distribute the gifts on a date close to the winter break so that students can get an opportunity to enjoy at least one toy during the holiday season. Any donations that you would like to share with them can be brought to their school and dropped off at the main office any weekday for the first two weeks of December. Please let office staff know that the gifts are for the PSA counselor's Holiday Attendance Celebration.

The 29th Annual Patient Holiday party provides much needed items including clothing, toiletries, blankets, books and toys to Saban Community Clinic patients, their family members and members of the homeless community. Decorate Ornaments at the Community Center of La Canada Flintridge

With the holidays right around the corner, now is a great time to glaze ceramic ornaments to decorate around the house!! For $15 per painter, you can paint TWO ornaments!! Items will be fired and ready for pick up on Friday Dec. 14 from 12pm-4pm. All ages welcome! All participants under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
